Introduction to Taman Negara
Taman Negara National Park blankets a sizable region bordering three states – Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu, in shadowy, damp, impenetrable jungle. Inside this buzzing tangle, ancient trees with gargantuan buttressed root systems dwarf luminescent fungi, orchids, two-tone ferns and even the giant rafflesia, the world’s largest flower. Hidden within the flora are elephants, tigers, leopards and rhinos, as well as smaller wonders such as flying squirrels, but these animals stay far from the park’s trails and sightings are extremely rare. Even if they do come close, you’re not likely to see them through the dense thicket. What you might see are snakes, from dog-toothed cat snakes, reticulated pythons, temple pit vipers to red-headed kraits, lizards, monkeys, small deer, loads of birds and perhaps tapir. Nearly everyone who visits Taman Negara gets an up-close-and-personal meeting with leeches and an impressive array of flying and crawling insects. The more time you put into a visit to Taman Negara, the more you’ll get out of it. Though they’re feasible, fleeting visits only scratch the surface. Consider an overnight trek or at least a long boat-trip up one of the park’s rivers.
Day 1: Arrivals, KLIA to Kuala Lumpur
Upon arrival, you will be met and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Tembeling Jetty
0800 hrs Depart from Hotel Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Tembeling Jetty
Expected arrival at Kuala Tembeling Jetty. Proceed to Department of Wildlife to register for Entry Permit and to obtain Camera License and Fishing License Lunch is at own personal expense.
Departure to Kuala Tahan jetty. Upon arrival, proceed to board a boat crossing to Mutiara Taman Negara Resort. Check-in to your accommodation at the resort Video presentation about the National Park at the Interpretive Centre (subject to availability only) Dinner at Seri Mutiara Restaurant
At 2030hrs Introduction of guide at Main Lobby, then proceed to Night Jungle Walk with
Nature Guide. Overnight at resort.
Day 3: Taman Negara
- Breakfast at Seri Mutiara Restaurant
- Jungle trekking to Canopy Walk & Teresek Hill with Nature Guide
- Lunch at Seri Mutiara Restaurant
- Boat trip to Lata Berkoh for swimming and picnic
- Dinner at Seri Mutiara restaurant
- Overnight at resort
Day 4: Taman Negara to Kuala Lumpur
- Breakfast served at Seri Mutiara Restaurant
- Free at leisure until check-out
- Departure by boat crossing to Kuala Tahan Jetty then awaits for transfer to Kuala Lumpur.
Day 5: Departure: Kuala Lumpur To KLIA
After breakfast, free at leisure until your departure transfer to the airport.
